1. cre ar+ {uno crear más} is a New York–based fashion label that merges craft, technology, and sustainability to create highly tailored womenswear. The brand draws inspiration from architecture, art, and workwear, transforming sustainably sourced textiles into precise, enduring silhouettes. Each collection is developed with intention, combining artisanal techniques with innovative processes.
1. cre ar+ {uno crear más} was founded by Yolanda Colón -Greenberg aka Yola Colón, an architect, fashion designer, creative director, and art collector whose multidisciplinary practice brings together architecture, visual art, material research, and craftsmanship.
Colón holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from Cornell University and pursued graduate studies in Art History at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts. Her architectural training informs the construction, proportion, and material language of 1. cre ar+, while her engagement with contemporary art—particularly artists from Latin America and the Caribbean—shapes a broader dialogue between fashion, art, and cultural history.
As founder and creative director, Colón develops 1. cre ar+ as an independent New York practice, creating highly considered garments through local craftsmanship, exceptional materials, and a made-on-demand approach.
